Bliss That’s Incredi-peel! Glycolic Resurfacing Pads and Eye Got This Holographic Eye Mask Reviews

Easier than a spa treatment!

fullsizeoutput_18bb.jpeg

I just received these cute masks* in the mail yesterday and I had to try them right away! I’m wearing the Bliss Eye Got This Holographic Foil Eye Masks ($4). These cruelty-free under eye patches are meant to reduce puffiness and brighten. They also have peptides to smooth fine lines and vegetable-derived moisturizing ingredients.

They’re super saturated in serum (and therefore are really slippery for the first two minutes!) and there’s extra serum in the packaging (that I patted on Reed’s under eye haha). I left these on for 20 minutes and they stayed in place very comfortably. My under-eye area does look brighter and feels nicely hydrated as well! I can’t wait to try their other new Holographic Foil Sheet Masks too: the Hangover Fix and The Detoxifier ($4 each).

I’ve also been testing the new That’s Incredi-peel Spa-strength Glycolic Resurfacing Pads* ($22) for a couple weeks. Before I went to Mexico, my skin was looking really dull and a bit textured. I wanted to book a facial or peel, but I just didn’t have time. I used one of these pads before I left and one the first night there and what a difference that made! I woke up with glowing skin that was much smoother!

These remind me so much of the Dr. Dennis Gross Peel Pads, but they’re only about $1.5 each versus around $2.8. I have to use the Gentle version of the DDG ones because the regular ones burn my eyes (I don’t go anywhere near the orbital bone, but they have a strong chemically scent that bothers me). These are gentle but still effective (as they have a spa-strength AHA) and they’re fragrance free thankfully!

I love that the Bliss ones are only one easy step too. It works because the pads contain Vitamin E and Witch Hazel to soothe and calm while Calendula and Glycerin help with moisture and retaining that hydration.

Bliss is definitely one of my top five skincare lines and their products are so affordable! I’ve reviewed their stick cleansers here if you’d like to see more from this lovely brand.

Quick Morning Routine (Post-workout skincare)

A fast, effective routine

fullsizeoutput_1776.jpeg

I usually stop at the gym after work or head to a dance class at night, so I have the time to do my full skincare routine afterward. Recently, I’ve been sneaking in a few morning sessions and then have to quickly get ready. So here’s my shorter, simple routine that refreshes my skin after a workout and preps my face for makeup.

First, I use the Bliss Oh My Gommage Cleaning Stick*. I especially love using an exfoliating cleanser after a workout to get rid of excess oil and sweat. This gentle stick makes me feel like I’m getting a thorough cleanse without stripping my skin. Full review here!

Then I squeeze in a quick two minute mask from Clinique. The Pep-start Double Bubble Purifying Mask starts out as a pink gel and then bubbles up as it pulls dirt from your pores. I love the pump packaging and it’s affordable! The mask rinses away really easily too, so you can quickly move to the next step.

Now I start the hydrating part of my routine. I use about one to two pumps of the new Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly to lock in moisture and protect my clean, happy skin from pollution. This sinks in SO quickly without any residue. I then layer First Aid Beauty’s Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer on top. I love the extra bit of hydration this adds while smoothing my pores and adding the subtlest glow. Full review here!

I finish my skincare routine off with the Nooni Applebutter Lip Mask* from Memebox. This is seriously one of my favorite lip products; it’s hydrating without being sticky at all. It leaves a pretty sheen that lasts quite a while too. To finish off my look, I add a bit of my current favorite concealer, mascara, and bronzer. Then I’m running off to work!

What’s your favorite post-workout product? Are you loving a short and sweet routine or all-out ten steps?

New Bliss Cleansing Sticks – Cold Pressed, No Dull Days, Oh My Gommage

A travel must-have!

fullsizeoutput_1762

Bliss was so sweet to send me their new cleansing sticks that are available online, at Ulta, and Target! I’ve never tried a stick skincare formula before, so I was really excited to test these out. The solid form is perfect for travel since it doesn’t count as a liquid. I also think these are convenient for a quick cleanse after the gym!

Cold Pressed is my favorite of the whole bunch! It’s 40% olive oil, which helps break down makeup, but it also foams lightly so you can easily rinse this cleanser away. I love that it doesn’t leave any residue on my skin while effectively taking off my makeup. I apply this stick on a wet or dry face and then wipe the top off with a clean, dry hand. Next, I wet both hands and rub lightly to create a little foam. After about 20 seconds, I rinse it off with more water. It’s quick and gentle and has become my nightly staple!

No Dull Days is a charcoal based cleanser that purifies and also removes makeup. I like how this doesn’t strip my skin; most charcoal cleansers are too harsh for me. It also smells really pleasant! If you like to double cleanse, I think this makes a good first cleanse because it can leave a bit of a residue behind in my experience.

Oh My Gommage is a nice, gentle exfoliating cleanser. It has plant-based fibers that aren’t as rough as your typical physical exfoliating ingredients (like sugar crystals or walnut chips). You could definitely use this every day since it’s not too abrasive. I’m more of a chemical exfoliation kind of girl, but I’m happy to have this on hand for when I do feel the need to slough off some dead surface skin cells.

Overall, I would definitely recommend these! I think there’s one for everyone depending on what type of cleanser you’re looking for as well as different skin types. Cold Pressed is the best in my opinion, so it may be a good place to start!

My Hydration Routine

How I keep my skin moisturized

fullsizeoutput_16ce.jpeg

Next up in my routine series (see brightening here!) are the products I use when my skin is feeling tight, thirsty, or flaky. My skin tends to lean more dry in the winter and more combination in the summer. However, with traveling so often, my skin can experience dehydration more than usual. These products leave my skin feeling comfortable – not heavy or greasy – no matter what time of year.

Recently, I’ve been starting with the Clinique Take the Day Off Balm*. Everyone raves about this, so I just had to try it. I’ve been wearing tinted moisturizer (Raw Elements reviewed here or First Aid Beauty here) or even Physician’s Formula the Healthy Foundation lately, so I feel the need to properly remove my makeup before starting my skincare routine. This is a soft, lovely balm that breaks down makeup quickly. I love that it rinses off easily as some other balm or oily cleansers I’ve tried left a gross residue on my skin.

Next, I use my Tula Purifying Cleanser which is great for gently cleansing without stripping. It’s a gel formula that doesn’t create too many suds. I love that it comes in this giant 6.7 ounce tube – it has lasted quite a while! The scent wasn’t my favorite at first, but now that I like the product because it’s so effective, it has really grown on me.

This is where I will do a hydrating mask about once a week. I haven’t found one I’m obsessed with yet, so I’d love some recommendations! In the meantime, I’m using the Bliss In the Honey Mask for a little boost of moisture. It smells like lavender, which I personally love, but the fragrance is a bit strong if you’re sensitive. It’s also a bit thick and sticky, so it’s not super easy to remove.

I follow either the cleanser or mask with my Clinique Clarifying Lotion in 2 for dry combination skin. It’s a fast and easy exfoliating step that keeps my skin soft and helps other products absorb better. I can definitely feel a difference since I’ve added this into my routine! This isn’t really specific to my hydration routine, but it helps with flakes and lets my moisturizer and hydrating serums sink in deeper.

Next, I spray my Best Friend Beauty Calendula + Coconut Facial Mist* all over. My skin seems to love products with calendula in them, which is great because this ingredient helps with inflammation (i.e. redness). The coconut is extra hydrating too. I love that this is a women-owned, small business that donates 15% of every sale to fight animal cruelty and testing. This mist specifically is organic, vegan, and all-natural as well!

Also, from Best Friend Beauty is their Anti-Aging Facial Serum*.  This is a game changer in my hydration routine as it’s packed with beautiful oils that add tons of moisture while targeting fine lines and dark spots. A tiny bit goes such a long way since it’s an oil and has the rollerball applicator. This is such an affordable multitasking product with high-quality, all natural ingredients! I’d highly recommend it.

I’ve been using that with my new Jade Roller* from Gracious Om. This helps the oil quickly sink in better and spreads it around my face as well. It also has been an amazing tool for relieving tension in my jaw and massaging out any puffiness. I can’t believe it took me so long to try one of these! If you’re looking for a great roller that’s not expensive, I definitely suggest checking out Gracious Om. It rolls beautifully and has a nice weight to it. The box is really cute too, so this would make a great gift!

Lastly, this Juice Beauty Moisturizer is my new favorite night cream! It’s lighter than my original HG, the Sunday Riley C.E.O., but still very hydrating. My skin feels so smooth and moisturized every time I use this. I’ve also noticed my skin is less red and softer the next morning. I’m really impressed by this and want to look into some more Juice Beauty products now!

This is a more involved routine because I have more time at night and really enjoy taking care of my skin. What’s your current routine like? And what is your favorite moisturizing mask at the moment?

My Brightening Routine

An easy routine for radiance

I’ve been using this new Bliss Mighty Marshmallow mask once or twice a week along with some of my favorite brightening products, so I wanted to share this easy routine.

After removing my makeup, I’ll use the Clinique Pep-start 2-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser. This has fruit enzymes as well as tiny silica and bamboo beads for a chemical and physical exfoliation. It’s effective yet gentle and I feel like it keeps my skin smooth.

Next I’ll use the Bliss mask, which only takes 10-15 minutes. It has a lovely whipped texture that makes spreading a thicker layer on the skin easy. It’s also a cute pink color (texture shot here). Marshmallow root extract and olive leaf extract provide hydration while a blend of vitamin C brightens and evens skin tone. I don’t feel any tingling or irritation and my skin looks more radiant after I use this.

I’ll follow that up with my Sunday Riley Good Genes. This lightweight serum has lactic acid for a deeper chemical exfoliation. I sometimes feel it warming or slightly tingling, but it’s mild and dissipates quickly. This serum does a great job of clearing my pores and plumping my skin with aloe. It also has licorice for brightening. Although this is expensive, even in the mini size, I think it really makes a difference in my skin.

Moving on to moisturizers, I’ve been using a sample of the Revive Anti-aging Eye Serum. I like that it’s hydrating without being a heavy cream; I’m really prone to milia around the eyes and this doesn’t make it worse. It also has light reflecting pigments to brighten and layers well with concealer. However, this is $285 for the full size. There’s also no information about what the ingredients do on their website, which I find really annoying from a luxury skincare company that claims to use so much technology.

Lastly, I’ve been loving this Juice Beauty Anti-wrinkle Moisturizer. The creamy texture feels great and sinks in quickly. It has Vitamin C for brightening and jojoba and shea for hydration. I also think the pump packaging is so smart and hygienic. It has a lemony scent as well, which is one of my favorite fragrances. I definitely need to try more from this line.

So that’s my easy routine for brightening. Vitamin C is key along with two methods of exfoliating to get rid of dead skin cells that can make my skin look dull or flakey. What do you use for brightening or radiance?
