Kosas and Briogeo Soho Pop-Up

Another shopping outing!

Anastasia and I finally stopped by the Kosas and Briogeo pop-up down in Soho. It’s such a pretty store with a relaxed vibe; we happily browsed and swatched products from the two lines for about 30 minutes.

It’s open until December 31st at 85 Mercer if you’d like to stop by!

Isn’t this a cool display for the Weightless Lip Color Lipsticks? I love the rainbow of colors and lip swatches. Each shade also had a description noting if it was cool or warm-toned and what color family it belonged to.

Here are swatches of my favorite shades: (from left to right) Rosewater, Stardust, Royal, and Darkroom. The first two have a bit of a glossy finish, while the darker shades looked more matte. They glide on beautifully and are nicely pigmented. This holiday trio is a great deal and has two of these shades!

Aren’t these cheek duos pretty? I love that Kosas makes each shade in cream and powder versions, so you can pick the formula you prefer. My favorite was a cool toned pink and champagne highlight called Longitude 0. The packaging is sturdy and compact too, so these would be perfect for travel.

The powders feel smooth and they’re pigmented, but they blend nicely. Some of the colors may look bright, but they have a soft finish on the skin. The creams are easily buildable and looked more dewy in swatches. The cream highlighters were more natural looking than the powders in my opinion; if you want more of that blinding look, go for the powder.

This is the Briogeo wall with so many products I’d love to try! I’m eyeing the scrub and dry shampoo especially. This cute gift set would make a great stock stuffer too!

I really like the few items I’ve tried from Briogeo so far, including their Curl Charisma Shampoo and Rosarco Milk Leave-in Conditioning Spray (quick review here!). I love that Briogeo is a clean haircare line and that their products smell great while actively improving my hair.

Have you tried anything from Briogeo or Kosas?? What would you recommend?

Winky Lux Experience NYC #itsawinkyworld

Another fun store visit!

I just wrote about popping by The Detox Market’s new NYC location and have another shop to share today! Anastasia and I reserved tickets for the Winky Lux Experience this afternoon. It costs $10 to tour seven adorably themed rooms and then you get to apply that $10 to any makeup or skincare in the store!

I liked that each theme corresponded to a Winky Lux product and a helpful guide shared ingredients, texture tips, and swatches as we went through the rooms. The rooms are very playful and some are interactive. They’re all, of course, very Instagrammable.

We had a group of just four girls, which was perfect to view each room and take pictures together. The rooms are kind of small, so I wouldn’t recommend going with a larger group. We had plenty of time to explore the products and take pictures in each room – we didn’t feel rushed at all. Thankfully the other two girls with us were bloggers too!

Afterward we shopped around a bit. I was torn between these gorgeous Glazed Lip glosses and the Kitten Palette. The glosses smell delicious – like doughnuts – and they aren’t sticky at all. They aren’t super pigmented either, but you can definitely tell the difference between the shades. I like that they’re more of lip toppers and easy to apply on the go since they’re sheer.

The Kitten Palette has a perfect mix of neutral and fun shades in my opinion. The shimmers were buttery and the mattes were pretty smooth. I was definitely tempted by this, but I just purchased the new Becca palette and don’t need another eyeshadow palette right now. Plus I don’t have that many lip glosses! I went for the Berry one since it has a fun purple undertone that’s nice for fall. After the ticket discount, it was less than $4 with tax!

I’ve been wearing it for a couple hours and the texture is very smooth on the lips. It hasn’t faded at all which is impressive for a gloss and it feels hydrating as well. The applicator is great for applying enough product with just one dip into the tube too.

Overall, I would totally recommend making a reservation to see the rooms and then using your credit to shop! All of their products are so adorable and affordable too!

Sunday Riley Pop Up Experience – The Influencer Foundation

A fun blogger event!

Anastasia and I went to a blogger preview yesterday for the Sunday Riley Pop Up (which opens today)! The event is for the new foundation launch and we had such a great time! The whole space felt like a playground with tons of fun props, confetti showers, a giant slide, and a candy bar. It was packed as there were Instagram-worthy shots all around and tons of bloggers mingling. The founder, Sunday Riley, was even there!

The new foundation is called The Influencer and it comes in 20 shades. It officially launched two days ago and is available at Sephora ($42 for 1.08 oz). The formula is described as a clean and long-wearing with medium to full coverage and a satin-matte finish. I absolutely love that it comes with a pump too. We were able to get shade matched at the party and received a full size foundation to test out!

I’m the lightest shade (per usual) which has golden undertones. The artist actually tried four shades on me – I think the range has a great variety of depth and undertones. We also received samples of U.F.O. Ultra Clarifying Facial Oil (which I actually had never tried) and Good Genes, which is one of the best Lactic Acid treatments I’ve used. I’m so thankful and overwhelmed by how generous the team at the pop up was!

Sunday Riley is one of my very favorite skincare brands – I love the Luna Sleeping Oil and I’ve raved about the C.E.O. Moisturizer on Instagram here and way back on the blog here. So even though I’m not a huge foundation person, I’m really excited to try this one! I hope it lives up to the natural-looking and lightweight-feeling claims. Check out my first impression next week!

The pop up is open through Sunday at 201 Mulberry Street here in NYC. Are you excited about the new foundation? What’s your favorite Sunday Riley product??
